Rev. Michael P. Speckhard was born August 20, 1993. His parents, Dan and Terrie Speckhard of Valparaiso, IN, brought him to be baptized on September 19, 1993, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Valparaiso, IN.

He began his schooling at Immanuel Lutheran School in Valparaiso, IN, and attended there through 8th grade. He then attended Valparaiso High School, graduating in 2012. Following high school, he served in the United States Marine Corps for 5 years. After being honorably discharged in 2017, he attended Valparaiso University where he graduated in 2021 with a major in theology and a minor in classical languages. He attended Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN, and graduated with a Master’s of Divinity in 2025. He served his vicarage at St. James Lutheran Church and School in Howard Lake, MN. He was ordained into the Office of Holy Ministry on June 29, 2025, and installed as Associate Pastor at St. Peter Lutheran Church immediately thereafter. He was installed as Senior Administrative Pastor on August 9, 2026. 

Michael married Meagan Speckhard on June 20, 2015. They have been blessed with five beautiful children: Eliza, Levi, Ezra, Delilah, and Andrew. In their free time, they enjoy being outdoors, playing and watching sports, fishing, and reading.
