KELLEY FEHN
Hello! My name is Mrs. Kelley Fehn. I was born in Detroit, MI. My formative years were spent in Lutheran schools from PS – 8th grade, as well my high school years being spent at Lutheran High School North. I finished my preparation for the teaching ministry at Concordia University in Ann Arbor, MI, graduating in 1993. Upon graduation I entered the teaching ministry in Charlotte, MI, and have also taught in Munger and Auburn. During those early years of education, I found a passion for special education and worked for a short period of time for Lutheran Special Education Ministries based in Detroit. During these early years I married my husband, whom I met while at college and had two children.
After working for Lutheran Special Education Ministries, I came to St. Peter in Hemlock and have remained. Both of my children have been educated in Lutheran schools through grade school and both attended Valley Lutheran High School. The majority of my experience has been at the 3rd and 4th grade level where I took an interest in Early Childhood Ministry. I have been on the District Board of Early Childhood for a number of years and have become the chair of the cabinet. Always seeking a challenge, along with my principal, we have developed a three and four-year-old Preschool program that includes afternoon childcare. During the summer of 2015, I was afforded the opportunity to implement a summer childcare program for our school.
In my free time, I enjoy watching my children develop and grow new interests, reading, and playing and coaching volleyball. I thank God each and every day for the foundation my parents gave me in my early years, and I look forward to following the path He has planned for me.
