BRIAN HEINLEIN

Brian Heinlein (23-24)

Mr. Heinlein became the music director at St. Peter in the fall of 2019. He is originally from Richville, MI, and was baptized and confirmed St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Richville. After graduating from Vassar High School, he attended Concordia University Wisconsin where he received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and instrumental music as well as a master's degree in church music.

 

Before coming to St. Peter, Mr. Heinlein served for 17 years as the Director of Music at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. While there, he taught music classes in the school, directed church and school vocal choirs, started a handbell program, served as technology coordinator, and taught math, religion, and social studies classes in grades 4-8.

 

Mr. Heinlein has served as organist at various recitals, hymn festivals, district conventions, organ dedications, and other special events in Wisconsin and Michigan. He also participated in the installation of two pipe organs in Sheboygan, including a new 52-rank organ at his former church. He is currently a member of the American Guild of Organists, Association of Lutheran Church Musicians, Handbell Musicians of America, Dairyland Theatre Organ Society, and the Frankentrost Band.

 

In his free time, Mr. Heinlein enjoys model trains, classic cars, and planning his next Christmas lights display.
