Academics
Saint Peter Lutheran School provides a good, solid educational foundation combined with the teachings of God's Word. The curriculum is centered on the Bible, demonstrating our mission to nurture and educate God's children in a Christ-centered environment. Students are daily nurtured in the Christian faith through prayer, devotions, and a Christ-centered curriculum. Every Wednesday we hold a chapel service which is often led by either one of our pastors or a faculty member. This helps teach students the basic principles of the Lutheran faith.

The core curriculum at Saint Peter Lutheran School is structured around the core subjects of math, language arts, reading, science, and social studies. Students also receive instruction in religion, art, physical education, computers, and music. In order to support and provide a quality education, we often adopt new textbooks and other text based classroom materials on a six-year cycle. When new resources are chosen they are carefully reviewed and inspected.

Saint Peter Lutheran School is accredited through the National Lutheran Schools Accreditation (NLSA) and the LCMS-Michigan District. The school complies with Michigan State academic standards and enhances it curriculum through additional academic opportunities such as computer lab, advanced math, and brief foreign language study.

Class sizes average 16 students to one teacher. This insures that each student receives individualized attention. That way, students and teachers build better and stronger bonds, insuring student participation and engagement. All the teachers and staff at Saint Peter Lutheran School share a strong Christian background and have all been synodically trained.
